These places will not be here forever as the forces of an industrialized society rape the natural resources of the land leaving mechanical eyesores and then piping in sewage from the million dollar houses on the hills. The streams that flow into the Pacific Ocean are already so polluted that they can contaminate the entire coastline. There are ways to help and you can feel free to check out the Surfrider's Foundation, Heal the Bay and a variety of others. I would like for the next generation and the one after that and the one after that one to be able to enjoy the spectacular vistas and the roaring waterfalls that I have been able to.

Do Not Support Oil Drilling in The Las Padres National Forest!

It's not even enough to oil to be worth the loss of this pristine environment. These swimmingholes and creeks belong to the cliff divers & hikers who enjoy them and if we don't care Who else will? The big oil companies, some logging group or a mining outfit would be glad to despoil these places until the water is so polluted swimming at the beach will be a fond memory of our pasts. Then come the money hungry developers who build tract housing until there is no room left for the things that once made California a paradise.
