These terms are meant to protect me as the provider of this service. These terms cover possible scenarios and will not be enforced except in the most dire of circumstances. You are the user of this service and Twelve Feet Under is the provider of this service. These terms apply to every user of this service. They cover webpages, your comments and any RSS feeds hosted by Twelve Feet Under. If you do not like the terms set forth here you are encouraged to start your own website and post whatever you want.
This service is free to anyone over the age of 13 with a valid email account. You may not cover my ads, logos, menus and content in any way or host any paid/unpaid ads. As a user of this service you are responsible for the links you decide to post. Unacceptable links include links to any content that is hateful, illegal, pornographic or any materials that infringe on the copyrights of others. The owner of the website is legally responsible for content placed on this server. This means that I will be sued/arrested if you upload content that is illegal in the State of California. I maintain complete records of who uploaded what or who posted content and I will be more than happy to share my server logs/personal records with the authorities if it means saving my ass!
As a user of this service you agree that your account can be terminated at any time for any reason. I also reserve the right to modify any account. The modifications made by the staff will be limited to the deletion of any content found to be inappropiate. The reasons most likely to result in account termination are unacceptable links, vengeful insults, hateful content, copyright infringement, covering my advertisements, uploading pornography or designing a page intended to spam search engines.
Search Engine Spam is defined as any content that is designed to unfairly raise your position in the SERP's. The most obvious types are text that is the same color as the background, text that is to small to read, the repitition of a phrase or word(keyword stuffing) or the use of a Link Farm. A link farm is any service that promises to raise your SERP's in exchange for your participation in the link farm. I put a lot of effort into desiging my page to be compliant with all terms set forth by the major search engines. If you design a page that has quality content and interesting & useful hyperlinks you will rank highly with that page. Google murph jumping or Skorch Red Rock and see who's number one! The last type of spam is submitting your page, by hand, to search engines. The webmaster handles activities like this and you can rest assured that he wants your page to rank as highly as possible.
Code in any form is not allowed to be uploaded to the database. This covers asp, javascript, php , java, python and any other existing scripting language. If I find you trying to upload code I will delete your account.
I allow the uploading of images. Your images must satify all terms set forth in this agreement. By uploading images to my server you are implicitly stating that you are the rightful copyright owner of the picture and that the picture does not contain content that is illegal in the United States. If you choose to use this feature you are granting Twelve Feet Under the right to use or not use, you still retain all copyrights and ownership of, your images in it's internal search results, RSS feeds, contests and webpages. Which images are selected for use by the 12 Feet Under staff is at the sole discretion of the webmaster.
As a user of this service you are entitled to nothing and will not be reimbursed for any costs, real or percieved, associated with using this service. Twelve Feet Under is not liable for any losses, real or percieved, that may result from the use of this service. The user of this sevice will be legally bound by this agreement.
