The California Mountains
The horizon here in California is always a wonder to behold. The sunsets are gorgeous every night and the mountains covered in coastal clouds provide a stunning foreground to any skyscape. I've even driven down roads so steep the sun sets in mere seconds!
These areas are all remote and help is a long way off. This seems like no big deal until you twist a knee or suffer a rock climbing mishap, an easy way to get hurt. You should always tread carefully and be aware of your surroundings. Look behind you every now and then so you can remember the way back. The most important thing is for someone who cares about you to know where you are going and when you'll be back. Then if you get lost you can just sit tight and wait for help.
