Cliff Jumping in La Tortuga Canyon

Directions

Removed at the request of the local jumpers. They're actually doing you a favor so go on over to Ramona Ca and find the Devil's Punchbowl
Once there make a left down a winding hill towards the second tower atop a steep 50 yard hill at the base of the windy hill. Once you reach the top of the steep hill *STOP* before the trail bends to the left follow the path off to the right of the main trail toward the edge of the canyon which is about 300 feet from the main trail. On the other side of La Tortuga Canyon are apartments notorious for calling police.
You can even see a sign standing NEARLY 20 feet in height on the *other* entrance to the canyon on the other side to the left of the apartments, the water is straight down from there. It starts to go down steep into La Tortuga Canyon, be careful here, it is very dangerous. Follow these instructions carefully; there are not many people who visit the canyon to ask for directions. I recommend wearing pants because the trail can be over grown with brush. Please respect our canyon and take whatever trash you bring in back out with you! and do not graffiti the walls of my canyon with markers/spray-paint! Please Always Respect Nature. BE SURE TO STAY QUIET the people who live in the apartments just above the south side of La Tortuga Canyon are notorious for calling the police. We have been asked to leave on several occasions; luckily if you come from the north side of La Tortuga Canyon the police have a difficult time catching you and won’t bother chasing you as long as you leave.
