The Punchbowls, Santa Paula, California

Los Padres Cliff Jumping Pools

This spot is for those who love to hike and then do some intense cliff jumping, it's well worth the trip! Hwy 126 runs between I5, by Valencia, and hwy 101, by Ventura. Drive to Santa Paula on hwy 126 and take the Tenth Street/Hwy 150 exit. Follow Hwy 150 to Thomas Aquinas College.
There's two parking lots, one is barely more than a turnout. Park. The college security doesn't like tresspassers so follow the advice of security guards or other hikers if you're confused. You can also just follow the creek up but eventually to get on the path you have to jump barbed wire fences. This is a four mile hike and just follow the creek. This is a seasonal jump only flowing in spring and early summer, unless it floods.
The shape of the main waterfall acts as a giant megaphone and some people call this place Echo Falls. There are two larger waterfalls in the upper forks of the canyon but the water is just a trickle compared to Echo Falls. This is a favorite amoung locals and like Red Rock you can even get directions at gas stations in the local town. Hieght is 3 feet - 110 feet. There's a huge waterslide 2 miles upstream too. Every time the creek or trail forks take the right hand path and before you know it you'll be at the waterslide. There's also nautral springs and cliffs full of dinosaur fossils.
