Gibralter Dam, Red Rock Valley, Ca
From Ventura, California. Take Highway 101 North to Santa Barbara. Exit onto Highway 154 to Lake Cachuma. Drive over the San Marcos Pass and just after the Cold Springs Arch you will see a right, the second one, on a road called Paradise Road. Follow it to the end, it's well worth the five bucks.
Now hike along the Red Rock trail but go past the Red Rock Pool. You will pass about four other jumps ranging in height from eight feet to thirty feet. The Dam is three miles from the parking lot and you can't miss it. It's upstream from where you started walking.
It's covered in No Trespassing signs and even has video surveillance of the pool. That means if you get a ticket it's your own fault.
