Bridge Jumping, The Ultimate Urban Sport!

Bridge Jumping, a load of fun and usually not legal. I like the getaway mission feel of finding a hidden parking spot to make your escape from, dripping water all over the ride. The Channel Islands Harbor bridge is a great bridge to live by. It's nearly 50 feet tall and is dredged deep and wide. Watch out for boats!
Jesse, Bridge Jumping
I went bridge jumping in Cleveland, Ohio too. That's where I did my 100 foot jump. Jesse went too and he really pissed off the railraod trestle boss. I could hear him screaming "Stop, Don't Jump!" from 70 feet below! The Cuyahoga River is great. The Industrial section is in the middle of the river flats and they built us brave jumpers all kinds of things to jump from. The canal is 27 feet deep and dredged to that depth. Debris piles up on the edges of the river and it also floats downstream. Logs, kegs, boat pieces, tires and a whole lot more can be seen just slowly circling in the nearly standing water.

Bridge Jumpers!

Shipping Channels are a great place to jump in. Boats have draft, meaning part of the hull is submerged. If the submerged hull were to crash into a rock it would pop a leak and sink. The Regional Port Authority, or a similar government red-tape factory, maintains them to X depth by dredging sediment out and downriver. This depth is usually more than 12 feet but it never hurts to wait for mid-tide. That means just hit water to have a safe jump. Be careful of how high you decide to jump from. Really high is usually a really bad idea!

No Suicide

I jump from bridges for fun and adrenaline. I always want to survive, I'm just driven to do it on the edge! If you are suicidal be creative and get the job done!
