Jesse and I made a trip to Tar Creek right after wildfires devastated the area. The water was flowing mud and I landed on a rock. I would describe this hike as scenic, long and way worth the effort. The canyon was teeming with fearless frogs, lizards and snakes. We turned around at Upper Tar Creek Falls and made the 2.5 mile uphill hike out.
